All kitchen knives are looks like same but its functions are different, buying poor quality knives for high prices means you do not have an idea on knifes and its metals (made in and made of) we need to understand the difference and definition, good knives are made of high carbon steel an extremely strong material will gives a good edge fairly quickly, and one more good thing about carbon steel knives are easy to clean and sharpen and can be prevent rusting, what we need to remember while buying knifes we need to check its edge, hold each knife in your hand and Feel the weight and comfort of its use
