How to Remove Tomato, Honey and Egg Stains

21:55 Posted by Unknown No comments

Are you sick of cleaning honey or egg or tomato stains?  These things drip over containers and counter tops.  Here are our tips on how to clean up these things properly, so you can avoid drips and spills.

Cleaning Up Honey

Get a powerful cleaning product and spray it directly on the mess or spilled honey.  Wait for a couple of minutes, grab a scraper and use it to get the bulk off.  Continue the same process repeatedly until the honey and spills have been removed.  Wipe off the mess with a cleaning cloth until you’ve completely finished the job.

Cleaning Up Spilled Egg

When cleaning up spilled egg, you need to have a couple of old newspapers, table salt and small brush or broom.  Although chefs are pretty great at cracking eggs, sometimes the task can get out of hand and the egg ends up slopped on the floor.  So, here’s how you clean up this mess.

First, you need to pour table salt onto the cracked open egg.  Leave it alone until the egg has completely absorbed the table salt.  This makes it easier to actually clean up the slippery mess.  Once the salt is completely absorbed, you can then brush the egg onto the newspaper using a small brush or broom.  You will find that the egg will come off the surface quite easily.  You can then dispose of the egg properly.

Preventing Tomato Stains

Preventing tomato stains can be very tricky.  Tomato can easily stain plastic food containers like Tupperware.  Actually, it is not tomatoes that can easily stain these containers.  Most acidic foods can do the same.  Here is how you prevent these stains.  You will need a paper towel and non-stick cooking spray or oil to do this.  This is actually you need to do before you store tomatoes in these plastic containers.

You need to spray the non-stick cooking spray into the plastic container and use the paper towel to rub the spray around the container.  You have to make sure that the oil covers up all the sides of the container.  You can then put the tomatoes back inside the containers.  This is also the same thing you should do for plastic storages for other acidic food products.

These are actually fairly simple tips on how to clean honey and egg messes as well as prevent tomato stains in Tupperware or other plastic storages.  Maybe you have other methods of cleaning these tricky messes.  Why not leave us a comment.
